Re: Fork advice

I'd been looking at the ECR forks also Just remember the ECR fork has a bigger offset than the majority of 'normal' 29er forks. However, TheBrownDog seems to be doing okay with his. Yes i realised after checking again, they have more offset. Thanks for the heads up. Budget approval obtained  ,...

Re: WRT GR are out!

Ok...it's good to know i'm not the only one struggling! About to spend another lunch hour looking at routes but if any body can share a route for the WRT lite, it would help (40 - 60 miles ish)... I managed to get all the points in Google maps and getamap...but plotting the route is proving more dif...

WTD - Rigid fork - 26er

Rigid fork for 26" wheel bike. Need to be ok for 100 mm corrected sus fork (440-5 mm if i remember correctly?) Currently have On-One steel fork but they take the front too low..

Steel or Alu (i think the carbons may be a little too expensive!). As ever budget is a restricted! :D

Re: Helmets - what you wearing?

I have both a Bell and Giro helmet...The Bell is a far better fit for me...suits a fat wide head (62 cm)!

The Giro presses a little at the side of the temples...not unbearable unless riding hard.

The Bell was the Sweep road model. No peak....
