stay away from any houses and you'll be fine. you wont get candy in a powder coat. Powder is only available in a limited colour range (compared to paint at least). Candy is a paint finish. I wouldn't rule out paint. Treston finishers (southampton) did my mates bike in paint as the colour wasn't availble in powder- and it lasted well. good paint...

What are the characteristics that make a gravel bike different to a cross bike?

At the moment the americans are coming to some consensus as restless native has mentioned.

The point I was was trying to make is that we might end up with a UK gravel bike having lower gears added to that too.

I consider it a lightweight mountain bike that's an important point.
