Ive asked on FB too but can I park the camper in the field on Fri/Sat night? Its the only "car" I have to drive up (and means a handy place to kip on Friday). Will arrive late on Friday but it will be stood there through Sat and into Sunday.

Re: Jenn Ride route
My plan is to SS this too but starting to worry about my gearing as a soft southerner. Normally ride a 34/19 and was planning on a 32/19 but now wondering if a 32/20 would be better. Bit of a struggle but managed 130km/2700m a couple of weeks ago BUT that was not loaded. Thoughts from locals or thos...

How do I see Connor O'Leary on trackleaders? He has some background and seems to be giving it a proper go after Mike's record run. Will be interested to follow him over the next 10 days.

Lakeland 200 - real world experience PLEASE
Due to last minute sign-off I have Monday and Tues next week to try this. Whilst Ive done some bikepacking this will definitely be a step into the unkown. Weather doesnt look good and reading some reports the hike-a-bike involved sounds pretty dire. So on to my question. As a person who likes the jo...

New Bikepacking Mag
Did a quick search and doesnt seem as though this has been posted before.
Came across it randomly (looking at Rob English 29ers
- one of the writers seems to ride one) and figured it would be of interest here

Re: BB 200 Kit List
Stu - your offer of a tarp is much appreciated and one I will be taking you up on. Nothing like learning how best to pitch a tarp at night, in the pouring rain, after 12hrs of riding - cannot wait for this.

Re: BB 200 Kit List
Agreed - its a long way
I was working on a 20hr ride time (incl stops). Maybe a 5hr bivi and look to finish for breakfast and tea and a nap before the drive home. Sounds so simple when said like that

Re: BB 200 Kit List
All very interesting comments. Will definitely tailor my clothes for the weather, but from experience I sleep cold - so always nervous about that. Have no idea what to do about a tarp/tent - I have no experience with a tarp and not sure how I will get one sorted before this. Might try beg/borrow/ste...

Re: BB 200 Kit List
Thanks Ian I'm new to bikepacking (have done a fair bit of multiday hiking and the KIMM) and any help is appreciated. Below is the start of my kitlist (I am planning on sleeping) and any advice anyone has would be helpful. My main questions right now are 1 Tent/Tarp? Cant really afford a tent (which...

Re: Lights?
I run an old exposure enduro (with a extra battery if required) and a old joystick on my helmet. Works well enough but I'm finding myself tempted by the Maxx-D/Diablo set-up. Maybe next year
