Looks like you had a great time. Makes me want to get out there. But I am paralised by indecision, oh and OUT OF STOCK on most of the stuff I need.
Like the Bivi set up any chance of a little review? Bivi Tarp etc on my need list.

Re: Alternative shape handlebars - why?
Not to hijack I hope, but could anyone who's has used both Marys and Jones H comment on relative angles - I currently use Marys (for all the reasons posted above) but like the riding position / accessories mounting possibilities offered by the Jones - as long as the 'at wrist' angle isn't much grea...

Re: Alternative shape handlebars - why?
Agree with Pedal head on the hand position as I have a limp right wrist and a dodgy left shoulder. So hand postion is critical for me. I use Marys on my rigid SS and like the hand position for flowy single track and out of the saddle climbs, the extra length and flex tendencies of all things On one ...

Re: General Gearing
Hi Griffdowg.
Gearing on Slasa Fargo is a 2 x 10 and is 27 - 39 T and 12 - 36 T, this seems really low geared to me but that is without load and we only have short steep hills round here.
But changing on the front is not a problem. SRAM Apex shifters X 7 front De.

Re: Saddle bags and Thudbuster?
Cheers Dyffers That gives a really good indication of the room they give me. Do you think the seat post attachment could slide down the pin anymore as the Thudbustr SL is about 95 mm from the saddle rails to the seat post propper and about 115 mm from that point to the saddle rails attachement point...

Re: Saddle bags and Thudbuster?
Guy, chris n and I both have medium size Repack WX seatpacks if you want any dimensions measuring. Don't know anyone with a thudbuster seatpost to try it on though, sorry. Cheers, I think I could do with the large size to be honest but if you can give a measurment from the top of the seatpost attac...

Re: Saddle bags and Thudbuster?
Thanks Flatfish. Looking at Pawels Repack SL or WX but not sure how it will fit on the TBuster SL.
Saw apic of a neat set up on Charlies website but can't see the brand of saddle bag.
Anyone got pics of a Fargo set up or tips?
