Went out cycling from Goring towards Avebury about 2 weeks ago. Exactly 20km into the ride the rear derailleur hanger snapped off due to mud. No spare hanger. Sorry but isn't that a little ridiculous? So little mountain sense, help is needed to get a route? What happens when the mist comes in or gps packs up? I'm new to bikepacking and the WRT. Never plotted a route but can read an OS map. Got an Etrex 20 Gps. Will someone be so kind to plot me a route of about 180km. Needs to pass a shop, pub and mountain Bothy.

From Windsor to Goring you will definitely find an appropriate well hidden spot for the night. Check out OS maps to find woodlands. :D

Thanks Anthony for the reply. I live about a mile from Swinley Forest in Bracknell and tried a 33 x 21 (that is more or less the same as your setup) in the more hilly part. It worked quite well for me, not spinning to much but I will test run with a fully loaded bike in the near future. If to diffic...
