3/4 waterproof shorts or padded pants
I’m struggling to find either 3/4 waterproof shorts (apart from the weird Altura ones) or 3/4 padded tights. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Re: Carrying stuff on a small frame
Actually the obvious answer is to use 2 bottle cages attached to the handlebars, one for a bottle one for a tool canister…

Carrying stuff on a small frame
I’ve just built up a small Surly Krampus. If I fit a small frame bag to carry a tube / pump / tool I can’t fit a bottle holder. There are no more bottle bolt holes and even the Velcro attached bottle cage I have won’t fit anywhere. Any thoughts on a way of carrying a bottle without putting it somewh...

I do have some but posting them is awkward because of the width.

Re: Navigation system for techno numpty recommendations
Thanks everyone who suggested something. I’ve bought the World from Kamoot. The plan is to download the map I want, keep it keep the phone in my pocket and look at it if I get lost or one of my natural stops, early coffee, breakfast, coffee and cake, dinner, afternoon coffee, ice cream, etc…

Re: Navigation system for techno numpty recommendations
I did look at that but a mate who has it said it had glicks and he’s had a few issues, it pointing to roads that don’t exist and that it gets a bit weird on roundabouts.

Re: Navigation system for techno numpty recommendations
Someone suggested Kamoot on my phone. A numpty question. If I did this are routes downloaded so I can switch off data and still use it (like Google maps) as my phone battery won’t cope with Strava and live maps (sorry if that’s a bit technical
)

Oddly I used to do that when motorbiking. It did the job getting to the Peloponnes. I did consider it again but I thought I might try technology

Navigation system for techno numpty recommendations
Hi, My normal system of follow someone who has the route is not going to cut it on my next trip as I’ll be on my own. Can someone recommend a navigation system I can use that’s relatively inexpensive that’s good for things like coast to coast, Wales end to end type rides. I have a very old iPhone an...

Ta.
I think with small saddlebags front and rear, 2 x bags on the forks, a half frame bag it’ll be fine. I’ll hopefully test that next week.

Carrying gear on a small bike
Hi I wondered if anyone has any brilliant ideas to carry luggage on a small (Surly 1x1) frame. The frame bag carries tools / tubes, etc, then 2 fork bags and a saddle bag. I use Mary bars and am thinking a bar bag might possibly be enough (any recommendations?). I don’t have rack mounts and can’t ca...
