My other half is also interested in a lady version

One of my favourite spots, near Barbury Castle... https://www.google.com/maps/place/National+Cycle+Rte+45,+Wroughton,+Swindon,+UK/@51.4810268,-1.8047243,3a,75y,279.18h,84.7t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1srdTefWmFNCO8B...

Taylor definitely had some pics of your culinary masterpiece, Ian (I know coz I took them with his camera!) Here are my pics. Good time had by all (even Steve I hope!)... http://i1059.photobucket.com/albums/t433/pedalhead/BB%20Welsh%20Winter%20Bivy%20Dec%202012/th_2012-12-08121155.jpg http://i1059.p...

Re: The post man's been ...
yep yours is definitely a good weight! I suppose I err on the side of reliability with wheel builds...Arch is mid-weight, DT comps, brass nips. I deliberated for a while over 19 or 18t but went for 19t in the end. This'll go on the bike for stuff like the Highland Trail etc, and realistically I'm go...

1159g including freewheel, which is meant to be around 177g so I guess the wheel is a shade under 1kg.

Forecast is looking pretty mild overnight (6 deg C). Reckon I might not even bother with the winter gear. More space for whisky and snickers bars. Win!

Re: The post man's been ...
My Pogies from Hotpog arrived today. They look pretty basic but ok for £20. Shame it's not looking cold enough to use them on the overnighter this weekend.

Re: good snow cover in the Cairngorms
Ah yes that's not far from me, a lot of my road rides go through Moreton. Flat...yeah, the Cotswolds make for a pleasant road ride but I tend to head over to Wales for "proper" hills when I can. Still not exactly the Cairngorms though :-). Sadly, my wife would have none of it if I wanted t...

Re: good snow cover in the Cairngorms
I'm pretty much on the Oxon/Glocs border, in between Witney and Burford. I also spend quite a bit of time in & around Watlington as my Mum lives over there. Whereabouts were you?
